What do you wish people spent more time discussing?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 11, 2008:

I have been wondering, why is it so hard for everyone to be nice to each other? Even when people have the opportunity to be a nice person, but they choose the opposite.
I wish people talked about how we could be nicer to each other. Maybe we could start making politeness a desired trait.. We could be a nation of polite, nice people; like "America, the nicest nation on earth". Okay, I am dreaming, but it would be awesome.
Has anyone seen a cover of Cosmopolitan lately? They actually have articles on how to be bitchy! Do we really want to act this way!

What have you learned from moving?

What I learned was relationships can become a little strained, even if you have a good relationship. My husband and I had a few problems when we moved to a new city, mostly because it was the first time we lived away from our hometown. We were both homesick and we had mixed feelings.
My advice to others is to give your significant other (and yourself) time to readjust. Moving is a big stress-or and if you do not address it in some way, it could damage your relationship.
If you can cope, than moving can be a good experience. Living away from my hometown is saddening sometimes, but it is enriching to be out in the world.

How do you keep yourself busy?

I never have problems keeping busy. That is America, you always have to be doing something to be considered a 'productive' member of society. If anything, I try to free up my time. If I don't have to go to work or school one day, i try to run my errands the day before or after. This may happen once a month, and on that day I will do what I want to do. Like play a video game or watch a movie.
If i am not busy and I want to be, I can always work ahead in school or clean the house. Cleaning is my favorite busy work, because after I am done cleaning I feel so much better. Think of how great you feel when all your dishes are put up and all your laundry is folded and put away. Afterward, I can just sit down and feel contented and play Final Fantasy guilt free!
